Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Property / Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations, safety, cleanliness and maintenance of our properties. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining excellent ground conditions year-round (including winter weather management, lawn care, gardens etc), managing parking logistics, ensuring spotless public restrooms, and coordinating stock and incoming deliveries.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can lead a small team while remaining willing to roll up their sleeves to keep the facility safe and running smoothly in all seasons.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations, Grounds & Winter Management
● Parking Lot Management: Oversee parking lot traffic flow, ensure proper signage is
visible, and manage parking enforcement or space allocation.
● Groundskeeping & Waste Control: Maintain the exterior appeal of the property by
ensuring walkways, entryways, and green spaces are free of debris, litter, and hazards.
● Snow & Ice Removal: Actively manage winter weather conditions. Responsibilities
include shoveling, operating snow removal equipment (e.g., tractor, plow truck, snowblowers, salters),
clearing walkways/loading zones, and salting high-traffic areas to prevent ice hazards.
2. Hygiene & Public Washroom Management
● Cleaning Oversight: Manage and execute regular cleaning schedules for all public
washrooms to ensure they meet high standards of hygiene and sanitation (with extra
attention to mopping slush/salt tracked in during winter).
● Restocking: Monitor and maintain inventory levels for essential washroom supplies
(soap, paper products, sanitizers).
● Maintenance: Promptly address minor plumbing or fixture issues or escalate them to
specialized contractors when necessary.
3. Team Leadership & Stock Management
● Stock Personnel Management: Supervise, schedule, and train stock and custodial
personnel, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently.
● Logistics & Deliveries: Oversee the loading dock/delivery area. Coordinate incoming
deliveries, verify shipments against manifests, and ensure goods are safely routed to
stock personnel for inventory placement.
● Inventory Control: Assist in organizing storage areas to maximize space and maintain
a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Skills
● Experience: 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance, property management, or a
similar operational role.
● Winter Maintenance Experience: Proven experience handling seasonal snow removal
and ice mitigation standard operating procedures.
● Leadership: Proven experience managing or supervising a small team (e.g., stock personnel, cleaners).
● Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy delivery items (up to 50 lbs), and
comfortably work outdoors in extreme winter weather conditions.
● Organization: Strong time-management skills with the ability to balance daily cleaning
schedules with unexpected delivery arrivals or winter weather clearing.
Job Details & Benefits
● Job Type: Full-time (requires flexibility for early morning shifts during heavy snowfall
events)
● Schedule: 5 days a week - including some weekends
