We’re looking to hire our first employee for our growing landscape construction company. This position will start as part-time, 20-30+ hours per week. With the opportunity to grow into a full-time or lead hand role as the business continues to expand. Position will be available for mid-July
This role is an important part of supporting day-to-day site operations across a variety of landscape construction projects. We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work.
Previous landscaping or construction experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person who is eager to learn, work hard, and grow with us.
You’ll be working directly alongside the two owners, making this a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and be part of building a company from the ground up. We are friendly and easy going.
Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment on-site
- Perform general labour tasks such as digging, lifting, wheelbarrow work, and site prep
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Carry and install interlock pavers
- Carry and install retaining wall blocks
- Operate power tools such as drills, circular saws, and concrete saws
- Assist with site setup and project preparation
- Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently to help keep projects on schedule
Qualifications
- Able to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with attention to quality and safety
- Good communication skills and ability to follow direction
- Prior experience in construction or general labour is preferred
- Willingness to learn new skills and take initiative
You must be able to travel to North Etobicoke (Islington & Highway 401) each morning. Parking is available for those who drive.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
