Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Traffic Control Person (Flagger) to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic at a construction site in Kamloops. This role is vital for maintaining safety standards during paving, heavy equipment operation, and various construction activities. The ideal candidate will be attentive, responsible, and capable of working in dynamic outdoor environments.
Responsibilities
- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones using proper signaling techniques
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as signs, cones, and barriers to ensure safety compliance
- Communicate clearly with construction crews and drivers to coordinate safe passage
- Monitor work zones continuously to identify potential hazards or unsafe conditions
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures related to traffic control and construction site operations
- Assist with heavy equipment operation when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
- Support paving activities and other construction tasks as needed, adhering to project guidelines
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
