Overview
We are seeking a self-motivated Kitchen Cook/Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teamwork and proactive problem solving. This role is dynamic in that it will involve some solitary work prepping dough and setting up the restaurant before open, some teamwork in a fast paced kitchen, and some leadership. Our ideal schedule would be a combination of some daytime (9-5) shifts and some evening shifts as well. *Training for the first two weeks of employment will be more night shifts as those are the best shifts to train effectively. Some weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with consistency and attention to quality.
- Answer phones to take orders, assist customers at the front counter with pick ups, and support servers with customer needs as required.
- Lead the kitchen team during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and timely service
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to food safety
- Provide excellent service by serving dishes promptly and courteously to customers or staff
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Requirements
- Experience in meal preparation and food service management preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both staff and guests
- Dough preparation and rolling at our restaurant does require lifting 15-20lbs on a repetitive basis, so candidate is required to be able to stand for long periods and lift 20lbs.
Pay: $18.25-$25.00 per hour
