Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Family Day Home Consultant to support family day home educators and ensure quality program delivery. This role involves providing guidance, resources, and oversight to foster safe, nurturing, and compliant home-based childcare environments. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience, plus applicable wage top-up funding, a telephone allowance, and mileage reimbursement for approved Agency-related travel.
Duties
- Conducting monitoring visits to family day home programs.
- Conducting home safety inspections.
- Reviewing educator and child records.
- Supporting educator onboarding and orientation.
- Providing mentoring, coaching, and professional support to educators.
- Complete monitoring reports and related documentation and upload all required records to the Child Care Licensing Portal in a timely manner.
- Monitoring compliance with Family Day Home Standards and Agency policies.
- Following up on corrective action plans and compliance concerns.
- Participating in Agency meetings and professional development activities as requested.
- Performing other consulting services reasonably related to the operation of the Agency.
Qualifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator Certification.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Automobile insurance with a minimum liability coverage of $2,000,000.
