Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of products, maintaining efficient warehouse operations, and supporting overall order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving procedures, and operate various equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on warehouse distribution and e-commerce logistics.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP software such as AS400
- Load and unload products efficiently using forklifts, reach trucks, or order pickers while adhering to safety protocols
- Manage shipping documentation, including labels, bills of lading, and inventory updates
- Assist with inventory control by conducting cycle counts and maintaining accurate stock levels
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively, including forklifts and reach trucks if and when needed.
- Coordinate with warehouse distribution teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Support order picking processes utilizing basic math skills to verify quantities and product specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or distribution is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP systems, AS400 is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or order pickers is a plus
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes within e-commerce environments is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment and packaging tasks
- Basic math skills for verifying quantities and processing orders accurately
- Prior experience working in fast-paced warehouse settings with a focus on safety compliance
