Business Development Executive (BDE) – In-Office

About the Role
Trux Solutions and Nordrux are seeking a motivated and energetic Business Development Executive to support our growth initiatives across the transportation & logistics sector . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and working directly with prospective clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for lead generation, client outreach, relationship management, and supporting the sales process from prospecting to closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through research, networking, referrals, and outbound outreach.
- Generate qualified leads through phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings.
- Schedule and conduct client meetings and presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Follow up on inquiries and nurture leads through the sales pipeline.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with management to develop business growth strategies.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry meetings as required.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and business presentations.
- Meet monthly and quarterly business development targets.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year or more of experience in Business Development, Sales, Client Acquisition, or a related role.
- Master In Business Administration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and confident personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships and engage with business decision-makers.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Mandatory Requirement
- Must possess a valid Ontario driver's license.
- Must own a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel for client meetings, networking events, and business development activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales or business development.
- Exposure to transportation, logistics or technology
- Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools.
- Familiarity with North American business practices and client engagement.
