Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dealership environment and possess a strong understanding of automotive repair processes. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Repair and refinish vehicle bodies using various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Assess damage and develop repair strategies to restore vehicles to factory standards
- Perform frame straightening, dent removal, and panel replacement as needed
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex repair issues
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within specified timeframes
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure repairs meet dealership standards before vehicle delivery
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in auto body repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience with automotive painting, sanding, and refinishing is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a professional setting
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts and operate heavy machinery safely
- Valid driver’s license is required; own tools are preferred but not mandatory
Pay: $61,110.00-$72,400.00 per year
