Busy ICBC Express Autobody shop in Surrey is looking for a Full-Time Autobody Prepper/Refinish Apprentice to join our team.
* Must have 2-3 years’ experience in role.
* Automotive Polishing experience is a must!
* Applicants must have great attention to detail, be dependable and be able to work as part of a team.
* WHMIS certificate
* Willing to keep up to date training courses as needed.
* Adhere to all WorkSafe BC health & safety protocols.
Job Description:
Refinishing Prep technician - work on surfaces of motor vehicles , primarily in the preparation for restoring vehicle finishes once body work has been completed and prior to painting. Some of the duties include: removing layers of sub-coating; mixing undercoats; preparing metal surfaces for painting by spot filling, sanding and masking; applying primers and primer surfaces; cleaning and polishing painted surfaces. Assist painter with wet sand & polishing.
Position is Full Time and available immediately, with the option for benefits after 3 months.
Wage is negotiable based on experience and production.
