FOR EACH EXPERIENCE CRITERIA, please provide the following MANDATORY information:
1- The period(s) in which you performed the functions (Months-Years to Months-Years); and
2- Specific details with concrete examples of tasks or projects demonstrating how and WHERE the experience was acquired.

- Verifies, reconciles, analyzes, researches, resolves errors / rejects variances and processes departmental financial transactions, identified in the financial data or other information maintained in the departmental financial management systems / files /records
- Ensures financial transactions are in compliance with governmental and departmental financial policies, and directives.
- Provides information and clarification to departmental employees, and other clients on central agency and departmental financial policies/directives relating to expenditures, and other such financial transactions
- Follows-up on outstanding financial transactions/issues such as commitments, expenditures and accounts payable with managers and clients
- Maintains financial and accounting documents/records for auditing/reference purposes

Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics; or
Possession of the Government of Canada Financial Management Certificate ; or
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group; or
Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified General Accountant (CGA).
*Experience in the same organization with a financial/accounting system such as SAP
*Experience in processing accounts payable within the private or public sector
*Experience with Microsoft Excel
*Experience applying travel related policy
