Description Accounting Coordinator

The Accounting Coordinator, reporting to the Accounting Manager, is responsible for all aspects of specific accounts assigned to him/her including but not limited to completing monthly financial close, monitoring rent payments, coordinating accounts payables payments, assisting the accounts receivable team with collections and conducting payroll analysis. The Account Coordinator will work with members of the business teams to compile accurate data for correct P&L and Balance Sheet Reporting.

Job Duty

· Coordinate accounts payable process and work with accounts receivable team to assist in vendor collections

· Research vendor billing concerns

· Reconcile balance sheet monthly and ensure monthly reporting is accurate

· Preparing and processing month-end journal entries as they relate to the entity’s general ledger

· Reviewing income statement accounts and preparing appropriate adjustments/accruals (month-end journal entries)

· Performing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliation statements

· Complete inter-company reconciliations and post any required entries to the G/L

· Coordinate and verify all invoices are sent to and processed by accounts payable

· Complies and checks source documents, such as such as vouchers, invoices, purchase orders, and cash receipts, for completeness and accuracy, and prepares reports

· Other duties as assigned

- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

2-4 Years of experience in a relevant field.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Must be fluently bilingual (English and French)
Highly proficient and accurate data entry skills
Strong work ethic
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
Previous proven experience working effectively with internal and cross-departmental team members
Excellent prioritization and time management skills
Able to evaluate large amounts of data with superior attention to detail

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 kg.
