La Bocca is a casual fine-dining, Italian-inspired restaurant in the heart of Whistler Village. We’re a tight-knit local crew who love what we do and take pride in delivering warm, professional service in a fun, fast-paced environment. We’re currently looking for a Server to join our front-of-house team year-round.
The Role
Full-Time year-round position.
30-40 hours per week (Mix of day and evening shifts), Increased hours available during peak winter and summer seasons.
Must be available weekends, evenings, and holidays
Responsibilities
Provide attentive, friendly and professional table service
Take orders and serve food and beverages
Handle payments and close bills accurately
Maintain a clean, organized section and dining room
Side duties including polishing glassware, setting up and breaking down, restocking, and light cleaning
Use your product knowledge to make recommendations and confidently upsell
Wine/beer/cocktail knowledge is an asset.
Requirements
Minimum age 19 (alcohol service in BC)
Valid Serving It Right certification
At least 1 year serving experience in Canada or 3 years outside.
POS experience, wine knowledge, Italian cuisine familiarity, and high-volume service experience are all assets
Fluent English; additional languages are an asset
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
