Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.
Our Business Intelligence Team within BBM provides reporting and analytical insight to Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to support day-to-day operations and strategic planning. The team plays an integral role in decision-making at multiple levels of management through complex analyses, predictive modeling, data definition and standardization, data mining, reporting, as well as sourcing external data from 3rd party relationships.
Working with a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible to identify and analyze business problems and defines the scope of activities required to address the issues, including requirement definition, process review, impact assessment and operational streamlining. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members, closely with team members, partner teams and IT to drive the success of various projects and initiates.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst will be involved in all aspects of projects, including documentation of project needs, analysis/research of needs and possible solutions, identifying technology and business solutions, gathering, documenting and updating business requirements; reviewing workflow process mapping; developing testing strategies, working with project members to execute the test plan, recommending preferred solutions, and implementing recommendations
Elicit and document clearly defined business requirements that accurately reflect stakeholder needs
Map work flow and business processes
Ensure traceability of solutions to requirements
Facilitate and provide business impact analysis including risks assessments
Support testing and change management requirements
Produce and maintain reference information (Visio maps, guides, policies, step action documents)
Liaise with cross functional teams, subject matter experts, IT, project managers and various levels of management and non-management resources.
Conduct root-cause analysis of existing operational gaps and failures, and recommend possible solutions
Building and developing, strong relationships with team members, partner teams, and IT in order to ease the pains of transforming the business.
Support overall program of projects in support of team charter
University degree, college diploma and or related work experience
3-5 years of business analyst experience
Developed experience in creating / improving and documenting processes (mapping, charting, etc.)
Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills (clear, precise verbal and written skills)
Experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of the organization
Ability to identify business requirements and create or participate in the elaboration of process solutions
Strong influencing, negotiation and risk management skills
Strong aptitude to recognize opportunities for improvement and take appropriate action
Flexible to work under pressure and meet deadlines, displays high sense of urgency
Have effective project management and facilitation skills
Have the ability to time manage / prioritize work under aggressive timeline
Have the ability to influence and gain stakeholder alignment
Strong understanding and experience with change management principles
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute Certified (PMP) or is an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
