Responsibilities
- Transport freight safely and efficiently across assigned routes
- Complete pickups and deliveries on schedule while following all transportation and safety regulations
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding delivery status and route updates
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate driver logs and transportation documents
- Ensure cargo is secured properly and transported safely
- Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries
- Report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Keep company equipment clean and well-maintained
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Minimum 3 years of verified long haul commercial driving experience required
- Clean driving abstract and safety record
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to travel throughout Canada and the USA
- Valid passport and required cross-border documentation
- FAST Card is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
