Overview
Commercial builds and supports vehicles for essential sectors such as fire, utility, towing, municipalities and more. We rely every day on our production team members, such as our Hydraulic Equipment Installers, to assemble vehicles for these vital customers. We’re looking for a hydraulic technician to join the Commercial team at our Edmonton branch and undertake the important work of hydraulic install and assembly for the vehicles we produce.
We’re looking for a Hydraulic Equipment Installer to undertake the important work of ensuring safe, effective, and professional installation of the hydraulic portion of the equipment that we mount. The successful candidate will likely have a strong background with the combination of education and experience to confidently install or make-ready the hydraulic components of various aerial devices, digger derricks, liftgates, cranes, plows, and other truck mounted equipment. Applicants should have a complete working knowledge of hydraulic system components, and the ability to confidently read engineering drawings.

Key Competencies
- Knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic assembly and equipment
- Performance testing and optimization
- Utilizing hand and power tools; torque wrenches, pneumatic drills, impact drills, laser measuring tools and more
- Knowledge of detailed and large scaled blueprints and schematics is considered an asset.
- General truck equipment and body installation experience is considered an asset.
- Some occasional Hydraulic troubleshooting
Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant will have a mix of the following qualifications and experience. Commercial is looking for someone who has the experience to make a smooth transition into this position and hit the ground running. We will consider candidates from all backgrounds and industries.
- 1+ years of related hydraulic experience
- Ability to work both individually as well as in a team environment.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license. Licensure above class 5 considered an asset.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Detail oriented, dependable, and punctual.
- Commitment to providing outstanding internal/external customer service.
- Journeyperson ticket considered an asset but not required.
