Daltco Electric is Eastern Ontario’s largest independent electrical automation and lighting distributor. Daltco Electric serves the industrial, residential, and commercial marketplace from its three locations in Kingston, Brockville, and Ottawa.
We are searching for an energetic, focused, and dedicated team player to join us as a Project Coordinator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of both commercial and industrial projects
- Proactively communicate with customers and suppliers
- Build relationships with customers at all levels
- Communicate effectively with internal team
- Provide project status updates to senior management on a when and as needed basis
- Ability to problem solve and negotiate best outcomes with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Provide weekly project updates (as needed) to customers with thorough update of outstanding issues, schedules, and action items and on time.
- Complete order placements with manufacturers for quoted material on project orders
- Release reviewed material for shipment and expedite orders according to the stipulated delivery schedule
- Review the schedule of delivery dates
- Complete project billing accurately and in a timely manner
- Complete project reconciliation to confirm accuracy of billing
- Quote change orders as needed (with the assistance of sales if required)
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- College diploma in business/sales/marketing (CET, etc) or equivalent education and/or experience an asset
- 2-3 years of related experience in the industry an asset
- Strong Excel Skills
- Project management experience an asset
- Product knowledge of the electrical business is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and negotiation skills
- Computer literacy – proficient with MS Office & IBM AS/400 knowledge
- Experience in quotations/project coordination is a definite asset
