Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, your mission will be to support the national recruitment and on-boarding cycle activities of the organization. The position will provide recruitment support to hiring managers for all Home Office recruitment needs in Calgary, AB and Delta, BC, while supporting the national recruitment strategy as it related to eyecare professionals.
You will foresee the application and updates of all procedures, programs, guidelines and core documentation related to employee attraction, selection and on-boarding. You will actively play the role of first contact and facilitator.
Your contribution will directly impact the quality of the candidate and future employee’s experience. You will have the chance to influence their perception on how they see the world today and tomorrow.
Your observations will accelerate our processes to hire people that embrace our culture.
Your expertise will be fully utilized through the advice and interventions to the leaders responsible for hiring qualified candidates.
Your suggestions will influence the talent acquisition team strategies and the implementation of them.
Develop and post job advertisements to internal and external careers site and partner sites
Screen applications for all Home Office (corporate function) roles
Coordinate interviews, create offer letters, conduct background checks and coordinate onboarding activities
Support the organization with all recruitment campaign activities, including Campus Recruitment for Optometrists and Opticians
Champion the new Applicant Tracking System (UltiPro UKG), providing support to field (practice) Hiring Managers
Collaborate with social media team to align job opportunities and promotions
Proactively search outstanding human beings and develop a high potential community of candidates
Provide guidance, training and support to hiring managers through the recruitment process
Administer all internal communication channels and ensure recruitment resources and processes are accurately documented and maintained

Minimum 3 years recruitment experience within a fast-paced corporate setting
Strong written and verbal English communication skills (French an asset)
Excellent administrative experience with high attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and time management skills
Experience with Excel, Powerpoint, and Adobe Suite
Capacity to perform in a consistently changing technological environment
