Position Summary
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Brantford & Conference Centre is seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to support the day-to-day hotel operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences. This role is responsible for overseeing front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and overall service delivery, ensuring alignment with Marriott brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance
- Ensure all departments meet Marriott brand standards and guest satisfaction targets
- Support departmental leaders with scheduling, staffing, and performance management
- Monitor guest feedback (GSS, online reviews) and implement service improvements
- Coordinate closely with Sales and Banquets for group arrivals and events
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Manage labor costs, productivity, and departmental expenses
- Handle guest concerns and escalations in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and Marriott operational standards
- Assist with recruitment, training, and coaching of team members
- Prepare operational reports and support budget planning
- Must be able to work front desk shifts
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–5 years of hotel leadership experience (Supervisor / Assistant Manager level or higher)
- Strong understanding of Front Desk and Housekeeping operations
- Marriott brand experience considered an asset
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules (weekends, evenings, holidays)
- Experience with hotel systems (FOSSE, MARSHA) is an asset
- Proven ability to drive guest satisfaction and team performance
