Overview
We are seeking passionate and qualified Secondary School Teachers to join our Summer School program (July 2–August 7), with the possibility of extension into the regular academic semester upon satisfactory performance.
Teaching Subjects (Grades 8–12)
- Mathematics (Pre-Calculus, Calculus, etc.)
- Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
- Social Sciences (Social Studies, Law Studies, Economics, Career Life Education (CLE), Career Life Connections (CLC), etc.)
- English Language Arts
- Mandarin
Qualifications
- Valid BC Teaching Certificate or Independent School Teaching Certificate (ISTC)
- Relevant university degree(s) in the subject area
- Experience teaching BC Curriculum
- Experience teaching AP-level courses is an asset
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to student academic success

Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Mandarin.
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction using various teaching methods and technology tools like Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students needing extra help to succeed academically.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects; provide constructive feedback.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates students with special needs or disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and behavior.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and extracurricular activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
- Utilize strong organizational and time management skills to balance teaching responsibilities effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $4,000.00-$7,000.00 per month
Licence/Certification:
- BC Teaching Certificate (preferred)
