Kernaghan Adjusters Ltd. is a well established professional independent insurance adjusting firm with branch offices across Canada. Our Surrey Office is seeking a permanent full-time Administrative Assistant with a strong team focus, keen sense of urgency, and the ability to excel under pressure.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Answering phones in a professional manner
- Preparing insurance documents
- Assisting adjusters across BC with daily tasks
- Transcribing dictations
- Proofreading and formatting insurance reports and documents
- Collecting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, arranging couriers
- Directing incoming faxes and e-mails
Qualifications:
- Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills and proficiency in English
- Typing speed of 60 wpm
- Record management & document handling experience
- Strong organizational skill and time management skills
- Proactive, with a strong problem-solving approach
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced office environment.
- Although not required, preference will be given to candidates with an insurance background
Start Date: As soon as possible
