Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and promote specials or new offerings to guests
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, demonstrating effective time management skills
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a strong understanding of the food industry standards
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for order entry and cashiering
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing time efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist guests seamlessly
