Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional front desk support, manage patient records, and ensure smooth daily operations within a busy medical practice. This role requires excellent organizational skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and the ability to handle multiple administrative tasks efficiently. The Medical Office Assistant plays a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care through effective communication and administrative support.
Responsibilities
- · Answer and manage incoming phone calls, including patient inquiries, appointment requests, and triage support
- Fax triage (labs + consults prioritized)
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments to optimize clinic flow
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within the EMR system (OSCAR Pro)
- Manage incoming and outgoing faxes, including lab results, specialist reports, and forms
- Prepare, track, and complete medical forms and documentation
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff to support clinic operations
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all privacy legislation
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Proven experience managing multi-line phone systems in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle administrative tasks with accuracy and professionalism
- Prior office experience in healthcare settings is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates with relevant skills in office administration or customer service.

Additional Compensation:
- 3 weeks of vacation

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
