Position: Experienced Line Cook (Full-Time)
We’re not looking for warm bodies.
We’re looking for experienced line cooks who take pride in their station, respect the craft, and don’t fold when the board fills up.
At Slaymaker & Nichols, the kitchen runs on consistency, teamwork, and standards. FOH and BOH work as one team here — and that includes a strong, meaningful tip-out structure for the kitchen.
Also worth saying out loud: no deep fryers. We cook thoughtfully, not recklessly.
This role is for you if:
- You’ve worked a real line before and can hold your own
- You care about execution, timing, and clean plates hitting the pass
- You understand that prep, organization, and discipline make service smoother
- You work clean, move fast, and don’t need to be micromanaged
- You respect your team — FOH and BOH — and expect the same
What you’ll be doing:
- Cooking and plating menu items to spec, every time
- Running your station with confidence during busy services
- Supporting prep: veg, proteins, sauces, and daily mise
- Keeping your workspace clean, organized, and inspection-ready
- Following food safety, sanitation, and kitchen standards — no shortcuts
