Roll Off Truck Driver
DIVISON: General Waste Management
LOCATION: Whitehorse, Yukon
POSITION STATUS: Permanent, Full-Time
SUPERVISOR: General Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position will assist with a variety of duties including but not limited to the delivery, pickup & servicing of waste bins using a roll-off waste removal truck, light shop and vehicle maintenance and other related duties.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Loading & unloading of waste equipment/goods
- Delivery, removal & maintenance of waste bins and other equipment
- Ability to safely operate a roll-off waste removal truck
- Operation of fork lift & bobcat
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
- Experience operating waste trucks
- Good customer service skills
- Strong oral and written skills
- Experience working with/around large equipment
- Must work well in a team environment
- Ability to work independently with instructions
- Valid Class 3 or 1 license with clean drivers abstract (Required)
- Minimum 3 years professional truck driving experience (preferred)
- Willing to train the right individual
- First Aid Certificate considered an asset
