Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness standards in a fast-paced food service environment. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred . The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cash handling, and customer engagement.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, efficiently and accurately for order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation and food handling as needed
- Restock supplies and ensure the coffee station is well-organized at all times
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure quality and safety of all products served
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality
Skills
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those eager to learn
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
- Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
