Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. A strong background in food service and kitchen operations is essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling and storage of food products.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setup and breakdown of stations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills within the culinary field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour
