Our client, a leading global security, defense and aerospace contractor, is looking for a communications representative who will support the Rotary and Mission Systems business area. This is a diverse position that affords the opportunity to touch multiple facets of communications.
Tasks will include drafting program communication plans and all supporting content pieces in coordination with other functional and business areas; press releases, key message documents, external digital content, feature stories, social media posts, executive speaking notes, tradeshow and marketing material, and video scripts.
In addition, this person will be expected to help support in-country events and activities – STEM engagements, Military/Veteran ceremonies, reception and sponsored events, etc. Some travel across Canadian sites may occur.
Proven Ability / Key Skills
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen storytelling ability for external audiences and a strategic mindset for aligning the right message with the right audience.
- Skilled at developing relationships and will be expected to form strong partnerships across the business and across community partners.
- Strong foundation in communications and be proactive and responsive in supporting the business.
