We are looking for a proactive and experienced Website Specialist to join our Digital Marketing and Demand Generation team. As a subject matter expert for public websites and programs, you’ll lead the migration of multiple websites onto the Intershop CMS. Your proficiency in HTML, UI/UX, and project management will ensure a smooth transition. Post-migration, you’ll enhance website performance by leveraging data including user journey mapping, heatmaps and SEO analytics to drive our digital strategy and create world-class online experiences.
Although this position is fully remote, ideally, we are looking for someone located in the Greater Toronto area. The ability to travel for business meetings is required.
Key Responsibilities
Website Replatforming and Technical Expertise

Develop, lead, and execute the project plan for migrating all public/customer-facing websites to Intershop CMS, ensuring alignment with various brand guidelines.

Collaborate and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to meet launch deadlines, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure smooth transitions.

Ensure websites are responsive, meet accessibility standards (ex. AODA, etc.), data protection regulations (ex GDPR), and implement UI/UX best practices to enhance user engagement and functionality.

Tailor Intershop CMS to fit brand needs, integrate third-party tools and plugins (ex. Salesforce, Pardot, PriceSpider, etc.) and perform thorough testing to ensure all features work as expected.
- Document technical processes and configurations, create training materials, and serve as a subject matter expert for public-facing websites and programs.
Performance Optimization and Data Utilization

Use tools like Google Analytics to track KPIs (page load times, bounce rates, conversion rates) and improve website performance through content and design updates.

Conduct user journey mapping and utilize heatmaps to gain insights into user behavior, identifying pain points and optimizing page layouts for better engagement.

Monitor SEO analytics to track keyword performance and rankings and run A/B tests to evaluate and improve page designs and content strategies.

Regularly audit website security, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and maintaining accessibility standards.
Alignment with Business Goals and Digital Strategy

Continuously update website features to align with business goals, sales initiatives, and product launches, while managing the merchandising strategy for multiple brands sites
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into effective website features.

Prioritize and implement improvements that enhance visibility and engagement for sales initiatives, product promotions, and new launches.

Monitor industry trends and best practices to keep the website competitive and effective.

Provide regular performance updates, reports, and presentations on project status and business impact.
Qualifications

3-5+ years of experience managing multiple websites, merchandising programs, and content calendars, with a proven track record; portfolio samples required.

Proficiency in platforms and tools such as WordPress, WIX, Salesforce CRM, SEMrush, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Excel, inRiver PIM, Figma, HTML, JavaScript, Intershop CMS, and SurveyMonkey.

Experience with website localization for global audiences using translation and content localization platforms.

Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design.

Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., GA4) for tracking KPIs including page load times, bounce rates, and conversion rates.

Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools for monitoring keyword performance and rankings, and experience in A/B testing and heatmap analysis.

Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Excellent communication skills for stakeholder updates, report preparation, and presenting website performance and business impact.

Knowledge of website accessibility standards (e.g., ADA) and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR), with a strong analytical mindset for data-driven decision-making.

Experience with UAT testing throughout the project lifecycle and reviewing website replatforming for efficiency and quality.

Up to date with web marketing trends and best practices, including design, composition, and typography.

Strong writing skills and attention to detail.

Experience managing and maintaining chatbots or visitor engagement tools.

Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) preferred.
