Owner Operator
Job Description:
Well established, busy trucking company is currently looking for an experienced Owner Operator for our Fort Saskatchewan Terminal. MUST OWN YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT. We currently are hiring for: 3 & 5 Ton Body Job Trucks (preferably 8x16 box & 8x24 box)

We provide a fully manned warehouse with fork lift operators. An experienced Dispatch and Administrative team to support Owner Operators. A fully fenced yard with parking. Modern technology with a digital app for dispatch and in vehicle GPS / ELD units. A well developed Safety Program to support Owner Operators to run their business in complicance with transportation regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive dispatch orders.
- Coordinate loads & un loads with dispatch team
- Promote and foster a positive relationship with dispatch and clients
- Submit properly prepared Bill of Ladings
- Perform pre-trip inspections
- Ensure compliance of our Health & Safety Program
Qualifications: Knowledge of Transportation regulations, including Load Securement
- 3 years experience with P&D work with Body Job truck.
- Transportation of dangerous goods, CSTS, WHIMIS and Load Securement training or willingness to obtain.
- Effective and professional communication skills.
- Ability to read and write English fluently
Requirements: Valid Class 5 drivers license with minimum 3 years experience
- Valid WCB Account
- Commercial Insurance with 5,000,000 Automobile Coverage including Dangerous Goods Coverage
- We have an group umbrella policy for Cargo and CGL Coverage if required
- Reliable well maintained truck
- Ability to work afterhours and weekends as needed. We have a solid business base with numerous industry partners. We operate Monday through Friday for regular service with the opportunity for extra work on the evenings and weekends.
