Job Description:
As an Interior Stylist at Roomme, you will be responsible for collaborating with clients to design and style their homes. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision and collaborate with art consultants + decorative curators to bring the vision to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to discuss their design preferences, needs, and budget.
- Develop and present design concepts, mood boards, and space plans.
- Source and select furniture, fabrics, accessories, and lighting.
- Create detailed design plans, including colour schemes, furniture layouts, and decorative elements.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and services.
- Oversee the implementation of design projects, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices.
- Maintain project budgets and timelines.
- Attend sourcing trips (ie. art galleries, furniture stores, etc)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Decorating, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Interior Decorator or similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and creativity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly personable with the ability to develop strong relationships
- Must have access to and proficiency in design software (e.g., 3DS Max, Corona Renderer, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of current design trends and materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Mac Operating System, IOS devices, Microsoft Office and Google Applications
- Ability to lift and move small to medium items up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to travel locally
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly design practices.
- Knowledge of Art History
