About Us
We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, and community-minded volunteers to support our programs, events, outreach initiatives, and day-to-day activities in Calgary, Alberta.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to gain practical experience, develop professional skills, build community connections, and make a meaningful contribution to the community.
We welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds and encourage students, newcomers, professionals, retirees, and individuals looking to gain Canadian work or volunteer experience to apply.
Volunteer Areas
Volunteers may support one or more of the following areas:
1. Student Mentorship
- Support students with academic and personal development.
- Provide encouragement, guidance, and mentorship.
- Assist students in identifying educational and career opportunities.
- Help students develop communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Support workshops, mentoring sessions, and student activities.
2. Administrative Support
- Assist with general office and administrative tasks.
- Organize documents, records, and information.
- Support data entry, scheduling, and appointment coordination.
- Assist with preparing forms, reports, and other materials.
- Respond to general inquiries and direct individuals to appropriate resources.
3. Event Assistance
- Assist with planning and coordinating community events.
- Help with event registration, setup, and cleanup.
- Welcome and assist participants and guests.
- Support event logistics and on-site activities.
- Help ensure events run smoothly and professionally.
4. Community Outreach
- Assist with community engagement initiatives.
- Help connect individuals with available programs, services, and resources.
- Participate in outreach activities and community events.
- Build positive relationships with community members and organizations.
- Help identify community needs and communicate feedback to the team.
5. Fundraising Support
- Assist with fundraising campaigns and community initiatives.
- Help prepare fundraising materials and promotional information.
- Support donor and community engagement activities.
- Assist with fundraising events and campaigns.
- Help identify potential fundraising opportunities and partnerships.
6. Marketing & Social Media Support
- Assist with creating social media content and promotional materials.
- Help maintain social media pages and online presence.
- Assist with preparing posts, announcements, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
- Support community awareness and engagement initiatives.
- Monitor basic social media engagement and provide feedback on content ideas.
7. Career Guidance
- Assist individuals with career exploration and development.
- Help participants identify career interests, skills, and goals.
- Support resume and cover letter preparation activities.
- Assist with job-search and employment-readiness workshops.
- Help connect individuals with appropriate career, education, and employment resources.

This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity with a flexible schedule. Volunteer hours and responsibilities will be discussed based on the individual's availability, skills, interests, and the organization's current needs.
Location
Calgary, Alberta
Some activities may be conducted in person, while certain administrative, marketing, or support activities may be completed remotely where appropriate.
