Overview
Join our team and help bring to life our cozy detective game Almanac: Detective Agency. Join us as a part-time Audio Design Intern and take the lead on our game's audio: the music, the sound effects, and how it all comes together in-engine.
This is a hands-on ownership role. You'll lead audio across the game, our trailers, and our marketing, with the support of the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Do a music pass across the game: the main menu, the town, and during cases, shaping how the score fits each moment
- Create sound effects for menus, UI, and gameplay
- Implement audio in Unity: wiring up music and SFX, mixing, and making the soundscape respond to what's happening in-game
- Coordinate and direct our voice actors
- Produce audio for our trailers and marketing
- Use AI audio tools where they help you work faster and better
Who we are looking for:
- A current student looking for a co-op or internship term
- Familiar with sound implementation for games in Unity. This is important to us: Unity audio, FMOD, or Wwise
- Experience creating game music and/or sound effects, shown in a portfolio or reel
- Open to using AI audio tools as part of your workflow
- Comfortable working in a remote, team-oriented environment
Bonus skills:
- Experience directing or managing voice actors
- Adaptive or interactive music experience
- Audio work for trailers or video
- Interest in cozy, narrative, or period settings
