Currently, The Bugman Pest Control is seeking a technician for our Abbotsford, Langley & Chilliwack pest control routes. The role would involve taking on clients who receive monthly rodent services. You will also learn to work with a wide variety of pests including ants, wasps and spiders to add more variety to your days.
All equipment required is provided for you, along with a company vehicle to either take home or share, depending on scheduling.
No previous pest control experience is necessary. We will walk you through the training and studying required to get your license. Sales experience is an asset and experience with technology is a must as all of our systems are cloud based.
Qualifications
- Professional and confident demeanor and appearance
- A valid driver’s license and clean criminal record
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, co-workers and management
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Desire to learn and a drive to succeed!
- Must be comfortable on ladders up to 40 feet tall
- Must be comfortable in crawl spaces and attics
- Must be physically capable of doing the job
- Evening and weekend availability is an asset
Wage
You will start at $20 per hour during training, and then, once you are a fully trained & licensed technician, meaning you can confidently complete your days on your own, we will switch you to $23 per hour. After your 3 month probation is completed, we will increase your wage to $25 per hour.
Once fully trained, our technicians have the opportunity to earn (on top of hourly pay) additional bonus compensation based on individual performance and overall company results. This model is designed to provide consistent, predictable income while still rewarding efficiency, quality of work, and contribution to team success.
Schedule/Availability
We are currently looking for technicians to work 3-5 days per week, but the specific days can be discussed, as the job provides flexibility to work around your life.
Greater or fewer hours are available for the right candidate. In spring & summer (April-September), the opportunity for 35-40 hours per week including overtime may be available if it fits your schedule.
Our busiest season is May to September, so this position suits a student very well as work is busy during the summer and slower during the winter, giving you ample time to study. We are very flexible with our scheduling and happy to work around your life.
