The Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Moneris collaborates with other technology teams to build, implement and support efficient, scalable and fail-tolerant Moneris data platforms applications and solutions. As a blend of data engineering and system administration, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and support of the different application environments. As a key member of the support team, you will also be required to provide rotational on-call support for the applications.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship : You will report to the Manager, Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Design, develop, deploy and maintain complex IT solutions to make systems more performant and cost-effective, compliant with requirements and Moneris security policies.
Implement security best practices for Kafka, ActiveBatch, and file transfer services.
Utilize the following monitoring technologies:
Dynatrace : For comprehensive APM capabilities, end-to-end visibility, and AI-driven insights.
Splunk : For enterprise-level log management and handling large log data volumes.
Grafana : To visualize and analyze metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
Graylog : For centralized log management, real-time analysis, and alerting.
Develop, standardize and maintain system documentation (including but not limited to operational guides, network diagrams, access management, infrastructure design, test scripts, ETL flows, etc…)
Lead the process of streamlining the application of continuous delivery by automating the process from development to deployment where possible, and ensuring that only highest quality code is delivered
Collaborate with the development, infrastructure and management teams to design efficient, scalable and robust solutions
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
Minimum 5 years of experience working with systems infrastructure administration, design and/or management.
Minimum 3 years of experience with Azure, AWS or GCP cloud technologies and services.
Minimum 3 years of experience working on Unix/Linux operating systems and Shell scripting
Experience with Automation Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools for deployment, scaling, and configuration management.
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Powershell, Java).
Proficient in server configurations, networking systems, databases, data science tools and technologies, and large-scale distributed systems and processes
Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and orchestration and experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
Working knowledge of DevOps practices.
Strong working knowledge of databases and data storage technologies.
