Reporting to the Construction Department Manager, the Construction Technician plays a key hands-on role in executing a wide range of commercial aquatic construction projects. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires performing light to heavy industrial work.

Learn and apply trade skills related to:
-
Construction, renovation, and servicing of commercial swimming pools, spas, fountains, and water features (condos, hotels, fitness facilities, etc.)

Ceramic tile installation, marbilite application, painting, masonry, cement parging, concrete repair, soldering, demolition, and water chemistry
-
Operate and maintain pool automation systems and industrial tools/equipment

Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code (OBC), Ontario Health Code, and municipal by-laws

Collaborate with the Construction team and other internal departments

Continuously develop and apply technical and trade-specific skills
-
Upon completion of the probationary period, enroll in an Apprenticeship Program leading to a licensed trade certification

3–5 years of relevant construction or industrial experience

Valid eligibility to work in Canada (Citizen or Work Visa with SIN)

Physically fit and capable of heavy industrial work

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Strong communication, listening, and customer service skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Technically inclined with strong problem-solving abilities

Reliable team player with the ability to work independently

Demonstrates initiative and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision

High School Diploma required; post-secondary education is an asset
-
Must be 25+ with a valid G driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract

Must own a reliable vehicle

Bondable and highly dependable

6-day work week during peak seasons:
-
April to early July

Mid-August to end of October

Start times between 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM
