Bellwoods Brewery is looking for a hospitality-driven full-time Head FOH Supervisor for our Ossington brewpub location in Toronto. We are passionate about the beer and beverages we create, the exceptional food we serve, and the memorable guest experiences we deliver. Reporting to the General Manager, the Head FOH Supervisor supports the day-to-day operation of the brewpub, mentors the Front of House team, and serves as a lead decision-maker on the floor when the General Manager is not present. As a highly visible leader, you will set the tone for service, support and develop the team, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure Bellwoods’ hospitality standards are consistently upheld.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead floor manager during shifts, ensuring smooth service flow, maintaining high standards, and addressing guest feedback and concerns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Front of House operational decisions when the General Manager is not present.
- Support the GM with staff training, onboarding and team development while providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Mentor FOH supervisors and team members, helping build confidence, accountability, and strong service skills.
- Manage cash handling, POS reconciliation, and daily operational procedures.
- Maintain and promote strong knowledge of Bellwoods beer, beverage and food offerings, ensuring menus and team communications remain accurate and up to date.
Qualifications:
- 3 years previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced hospitality or brewpub environment.
- Effective communication, leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Proficiency with POS systems, Google Sheets/Excel, and cash reconciliation.
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods and safely lift heavy objects in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have consistent full-time weekly availability Thursdays through Mondays.
- Valid SmartServe Certification is required; First Aid/CPR is an asset.
