Line Cook & Prep Cook Job description
Nine Locks Taproom West Bedford is looking for experienced line cooks, prep cooks and Pizza Cooks who are motivated, outgoing, energetic individuals to join our culinary team in our brand new, and first full service location. We are looking for someone who has a huge guest & team mentality, and will go above and beyond to give every guest that walks through the door the best experience possible! We are seeking people who are quick learners, comfortable in a kitchen environment and have a passion and love for the culinary industry with an interest in developing their career.

Located in Dartmouth on the historic Shubenacadie Canal, Nine Locks has quickly become a leader in the Nova Scotia craft beer industry. Our award-winning products are available in restaurants and stores throughout the region. Since first opening our doors, we have remained committed to producing the finest craft beer possible and having one heck of a time doing it.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and cook high quality dishes in accordance with our restaurant standards and recipes
- Maintain professional and courteous conduct at all times.
- Work under the standards defined in the “Kitchen Training Manual”
- Organized and able to keep up with opening a new location
- Full knowledge of food and beverage principles.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Maintain an organized and clean prep/work area
- Must be highly health and safety conscious and actively involved in enhancing workplace wellness.
- Able to work all shifts including days, evenings and weekends.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Food Safe certification (or an equivalent)
- 3+ years cooking experience in the hospitality industry
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Cooking: 3 years (preferred)
MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO LEGALLY WORK IN CANADA.

Pay: $17.00-$23.00 per hour
