Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work with patients to help them develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. You will provide therapeutic interventions tailored to each individual's needs, focusing on enhancing their quality of life and promoting independence. Your expertise in pediatrics, medical terminology, and acute care will be essential in delivering high-quality therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Follow comprehensive assessments from OT of patients' physical and cognitive abilities.
- Follow individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities.
- Document patient progress
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in occupational therapy.
Experience
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience working with paediatric populations is preferred
- Experience with children with disabilities, ASD, Down Syndrome etc.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and acute care settings is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
