Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Kitchen Hand to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, supporting food service operations, and ensuring a high standard of hygiene. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, experience in food handling, and a strong work ethic to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Responsible for cleaning dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping and ingredient organization
- Support kitchen staff with food handling and storage to maintain safety and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, counters, and workstations
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health regulations
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and used efficiently to uphold hygiene standards
- Support serving staff during busy periods by clearing tables and assisting with basic hospitality duties when required
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Prior experience in food service or hospitality roles is advantageous but not mandatory
