Assistant Driller & General Labourer
Canadian Environmental Drilling & Contractors Inc. specializes in Direct Push, Conventional Auger and Rotary drilling, DTH air hammer, HV Coring, SPT sampling and other methods used to collect soil, water and rock samples.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the Drill Rig operator, maintains drilling and supports equipment effectively.
- Assists in loading and unloading equipment.
- Follow all Safety regulations.
- Drives company Truck and Trailer (minimum G license) with clean driver’s abstract.
- Cleaning equipment and keeping work area clean and free of debris.
- Understand, select and work with hand tools.
- Perform assigned equipment maintenance.
- Perform material inventory as assigned.
- Clean shop, perform rig maintenance and upkeep.
- Provides Traffic Control per Book 7
Special Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work overtime and to travel out of town frequently.
- Adapts easily to changing deadlines.
- Enjoy working outside in all kinds of weather (heat, snow, rain)
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Performs well under stress.
- Good physical strength and manual dexterity (must be able to lift 50-80 lbs. overhead throughout the daily shift).
- Keen observation skills.
- Works with safety as number one priority; active first aid certification an asset
- Works well in team environment.
- Interest to learn, excel and advance.
- Good customer relation skills.
