Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Assistant (Float staff) to join our team at West End Parents Daycare in Canada. Located in the heart of the community, this role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver exceptional early childhood care and education.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children (ages 18 months to 12 years) during daily activities.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities.
- Foster positive relationships with children and their families.
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized classroom.
- Follow all licensing regulations and organizational policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Work under the guidance and perform other duties assigned by the RECE
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to children's needs.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required
- Criminal Reference Check, vulnerable sector is required.
