Overview
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service in a dynamic restaurant environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary skills.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Serve dishes efficiently and courteously to customers or servers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure quality control
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service in a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to serve dishes promptly while maintaining quality and presentation
- Excellent meal preparation skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with restaurant or kitchen equipment and techniques
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer preferences is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-pressure setting
