Key Responsibilities:
· Operational Oversight: Oversee the efficient operation of the CHF distribution center, ensuring all processes other than customer delivery management are aligned with best practices.
· Inventory Management: Manage all aspects of incoming and outgoing inventory ensuring paperwork for all inventory movement is provided to processing staff.
· Management: Demonstrate effective staff management while maintaining respectful relationships with and among all staff managed.
· Leadership Development: Demonstrate effective leadership through the selection, development, and retention of a warehouse team.
· Facility Management: Periodic inspection of the warehouse interior and exterior in addition to periodic inspection of operational equipment used in the operation ensuring all are well maintained for safety and working longevity maximization.
· Compliance: Ensure daily adherence to all OHS guidelines as outlined in the corporate health and safety policy manual.
· Cycle Counts: Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and reliability.
· Freight Approval: Review and approve all freight bills to ensure accuracy.
· Budget Management: Manage warehouse expenses, ensuring alignment with budget requirements. Take corrective actions as necessary to achieve corporate objectives.
· Claims Management: Prepare and submit damage claims with comprehensive documentation, ensuring all relevant reports are submitted to management.
· Collaboration with Customer Service: Partner with the Customer Service team to manage the receipt and dispatch of parts to Service Technicians efficiently.
· Cost Management: Collaborate with the Customer Service Manager to ensure timely receipt of costs associated with damage claims.
· Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain warehouse cleanliness and security to ensure the safety of employees and clients, especially in customer-facing areas.
· Interdepartmental Coordination: Facilitate regular and productive communication between warehouse operations and other corporate departments to support a unified strategy.
· Training Initiatives: Identify and recommend training opportunities for warehouse personnel to enhance skills and performance.
· Hands-On Support: Assist with the loading and unloading of inventory as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience: 5-7 years of robust warehouse management experience.
- Strategic Implementation: Proven track record of developing and executing warehousing strategies, inventory management, and delivery plans.
- Team Leadership: Experience in leading and motivating warehouse and delivery teams toward efficiency and productivity.
- Communication Skills: Proficient written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with individuals across all professional levels.
