Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable General Labourer/Forklift Operator to join our powder coating team. This role involves handling various warehouse distribution tasks, operating forklifts, and supporting overall powder coating operations. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient order fulfillment and inventory management in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift safely to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse
- Assist with general labour tasks such as packaging, sorting, and staging products for shipment or storage
- Assist with material prep/cleaning and masking to ensure quality finish for powder coating
- Assist with order picking and order fulfillment using warehouse management systems
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and products as required
- Support inventory management through accurate stock counting and organization
- Use basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during daily operations
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or logistics preferred
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
- Proficiency in operating forklift is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately
- Experience with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required
- Prior work involving order picking and inventory control is beneficial
- Strong attention to safety standards and procedures in a warehouse setting
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
