Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) has an opening for a Bilingual Program Assistant II – Interpreting & Translation Services, based in Ottawa. Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Accounts, the Bilingual Program Assistant II is responsible for providing general office and administrative support including responding to public inquiries, processing vendor invoices, and assisting with reconciling quarterly statistical and financial data.
This is a full-time, contract position for one year, working Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary diploma or degree in either Office Administration or Business Management along with 2-3 years’ related work experience. This must include solid intermediate accounting skills and experience with financial/funder reporting in a non-profit environment, as well as knowledge of interpreting service operations.
We are also looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication (French and English) skills, as well as being able to handle a fast-paced environment and manage a varied workload with competing priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and databases is required as well.
