Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is a 321-bed academic and teaching hospital that provides specialized mental health, addiction and geriatric care. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, we serve some of the most complex and disadvantaged individuals in Ontario and are the sole provider of high-secure forensic mental health services in the province.
The Manager, People Experience & Talent Services is currently seeking multiple temporary full-time Recruitment Specialists. This position provides support for the hospital in all aspects of the recruitment function and is a subject matter expert within this area of the People Experience & Talent portfolio of programs and processes.
This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. Office location is 500 Church St in Penetanguishene, ON.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Partner with hiring managers to continuously assess workforce and vacancy needs, prioritize recruitment activities, and provide strategic guidance throughout the hiring process, with a primary focus on project-based recruitment supporting department and clinical unit expansion.
- Act as an advisor and coach to managers on talent and recruitment issues and processes.
- Provide full-cycle recruitment services, including high-volume and project-based recruitment, in support of organizational growth, the talent acquisition strategy and collective bargaining agreements.
- Develop and track targeted recruitment sourcing strategies and marketing campaigns to support project hiring, priority clinical vacancies and ongoing part-time clinical talent pools.
- Support the workforce planning process in collaboration with HR Consultants and Organizational Development.
- Develop relationships with post-secondary educational institutions to source new graduates through career fairs and other events.
- Develop, implement and participate in Waypoint recruitment events (on and offsite).
- Participate in Exit and Stay Interview processes, in support of the recognition and retention strategy.
- Develop and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives regarding talent management processes.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Required)
- Specialized training/education in full cycle recruitment (Required)
- Human Resources Management Certificate (Required)
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive recruitment work experience, preferably within a unionized environment (Required)
- Knowledge of employment legislation, collective agreements, and recruitment best practices.
- Understanding of talent acquisition, retention strategies, recruitment metrics, and labour market trends.
- Familiarity with LEAN, CQI, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, security, and risk management requirements.
- Advanced communication, presentation, relationship-building, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
- Advanced interviewing, candidate assessment, strategic sourcing, and talent advisory skills.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and managing candidate pipelines.
- Strong project management, planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and creating inclusive recruitment practices.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and adapt effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and recruitment technologies, including social media, SEO, and campaign management tools.
- Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
- Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values (Caring, Respect, Accountability, Innovation), and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
- Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills
