Samfiru Tumarkin LLP is a busy national litigation firm with offices in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary and Vancouver. Our lawyers specialize in employment law, as well as personal injury and insurance litigation. Samfiru Tumarkin is currently accepting applications for 2027 Summer Students at our Toronto office.
At Samfiru Tumarkin, student responsibilities include legal document production (including demand letters, claims, etc.), research, shadowing legal representatives at various appearances including mediations, motions, and trials, and completing various administrative duties as needed. This position is hybrid, with the option to work remotely or from our office. A reliable home internet connection is required for remote working. Salary for this position will be in the range of $6,500.00-$7,000.00 per month.
We are looking for someone responsive, eager to learn, adaptable, and who enjoys a fast-paced, and fun, environment. The right candidate will be someone who can see themselves practicing employment law and who has the right personality for a demanding litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have:
- a demonstrated interest in litigation and specifically employment law;
- strong written and verbal communication skills;
- a customer service mentality and high level of professionalism;
- excellent attention to detail and keen organizational ability;
- flexibility to work independently or as part of a team; and
- the ability to prioritize and meet urgent deadlines.
