Overview
The Food Service Counter Attendant plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the efficient operation of the food service area. This position involves interacting with customers, taking orders, and preparing food items in compliance with health and safety regulations. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting menu items.
- Take accurate orders and process transactions efficiently.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen equipment, and dining space.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Assist in restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage time effectively to handle peak service periods while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cashiering processes and customer service best practices is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
