Job Summary:
As the Dental Office Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day administrative and business operations of our practice. You will lead the front desk team, manage patient scheduling, oversee billing and insurance collections, and ensure the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with extensive dental industry experience and a passion for outstanding patient service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Oversee front-desk workflows, patient check-ins/check-outs, and ensure general clinic efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule administrative staff while fostering a positive team culture.
- Financial Management: Manage patient billing, insurance claims processing, accounts receivable, and collections.
- Schedule Optimization: Monitor the practice schedule to maximize productivity and minimize open chairs.
- Patient Relations: Resolve complex patient inquiries, coordinate treatment plans, and manage financial arrangements.
- Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate electronic dental records and ensure compliance with provincial health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing a dental office or acting as a senior dental administrator.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with dental practice management software (Abeldent).
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of dental codes, insurance structures, and dental terminology.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and lead a diverse administrative team.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service.
