Job Title: Sales Associate

Position Summary: As the public face of the company the Sales Associate is responsible for dealing with any and all customer questions about the products and services the company offers. Sales Associates greet customers on arrival then assist the customer with any questions they have about the purchase they want to make while demonstrating outstanding customer service. Sales Associates are responsible for all sales activities from greeting customers, answering questions, offering assistance, suggesting items, providing product information, keeping the sales floor clean and stocked with merchandise, maintaining the display of merchandise, and organizing the sales floor and stock areas. Associates are also responsible for assisting customers looking to pay on or pick up their loans and processing those payments accordingly and accurately. Associates will work with a wide variety of merchandise including: jewelry, video games, tools, cell phones, antiques, home audio, musical instruments and other electronics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interact with all customers to determine their individual needs and recommend appropriate merchandise or financial solutions
  • Partner with coworkers to create an exceptional customer experience
  • Maintain a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting store’s commitment to our customer
  • Answering customer questions about the products and services the company offers
  • Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers
  • Actively seek out customers in store
  • Upselling and cross selling items to customers for increased sales
  • Perform non-management open/close procedures
  • Keep sales floor clean, stocked and maintain the displays of merchandise
  • Organizing and cleaning displays to look presentable and not cluttered
  • Organizing and cleaning the stock areas
  • Perform sales and loan transactions
  • Process returns and refunds courteously and professionally
  • Handle all cash and customer items with care and respect to established policies and procedures
  • Able to process payments of cash, debit, credit, and in-store credit ensuring accurate totaling of purchases, loan payments, redeems and other transactions.
  • Resolve customer complaints, issues, and problems
  • Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers
  • Increase store sales
  • Answer incoming and outgoing calls
  • Effectively communicates to customers our sales, loan policies, and routines.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow coworkers and managers, displaying respect and effective communication tools
  • Successfully completes any additional or refresher training as required
  • Achieve established goals
  • Other related duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of High school
  • 18 years of age or more
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
  • Able to perform basic math such as subtraction, addition, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team
  • Strong and motivated work ethic
  • The desire in serving customers, and working with people
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Computer literate and able to operate common office machines
